He’s been where I am.
This exhaustion new to me,
he saw it coming.
He owns calm patience.
I fret over the fractious.
He sees through my walls.
Climbing them, he smiles
at his new-found silly bear.
“Stop being so tough.”
I grin / rolling eyes.
“I made you lunch,” he declares.
Kindness radiates.
I melt and embrace,
my defenses made useless.
He honors me. Bliss.
finally someone who deserves you?

And I am starting to think so. I’m also starting to think he’s finally met someone who deserves him…and it’s happened at a time where the Universe was WOW distracting both of us…and we know these things happen because things were brewing for us that we shouldn’t screw up.
So jury is still out. I’m taking my time opposed to former decisions…but I’m thinking I’ve finally been caught in a very wonderful way
